Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Red News – Economic Calendar for TradingView browser extension, the website at rednews.app, and any related services (together, the "Service"), provided by the developer of Red News ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Red News is a browser extension that overlays scheduled economic-calendar events, sourced from the public Forex Factory calendar, onto TradingView chart pages. It draws event lines, shows event details, and can alert you before releases. Red News is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TradingView or Forex Factory.
2. Not financial advice
The Service displays informational data about scheduled economic events. It does not provide trading signals, investment recommendations, or financial advice, and nothing it shows should be relied upon as such. Economic data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Trading and investing carry risk, including the loss of capital. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions.
3. Accounts
The free tier works without an account. To start a Premium trial or subscribe, you sign in with Google, which provides us your name, email address, and account identifier. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use and for all activity under your Red News entitlement. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase Premium.
4. Subscriptions, billing & trials
- Free tier: the core extension is free to use.
- Premium: available as a monthly (US$4.99) or annual (US$39) subscription. Prices are shown at checkout and may vary by region and applicable taxes.
- Free trial: new users may start a 14-day Premium trial without a payment method. If you do not subscribe, the account simply reverts to the free tier when the trial ends. One trial per user.
- Merchant of record: payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. Card and billing details are entered on Paddle's checkout and are never received or stored by us.
- Auto-renewal: paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges through Paddle.
- Price changes: we may change subscription prices. Any change to your recurring price will be communicated in advance and will apply from your next renewal.
5. Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel at any time using the Manage subscription option in the extension. On cancellation you keep Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for; it does not renew after that. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source or server logic of the Service, except where permitted by law;
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or the data it delivers;
- circumvent entitlement checks, device limits, or use the Service without a valid entitlement;
- use the Service to build a competing product, or to place undue load on our backend;
- use the Service in any unlawful way or in violation of third-party rights.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal trading, subject to these Terms. Economic data originates from the public Forex Factory calendar and remains subject to any rights of its source. "TradingView" and "Forex Factory" are trademarks of their respective owners.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including TradingView (the host page), Forex Factory (data source), Supabase (backend and authentication), Google (sign-in), and Paddle (payments). We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third parties, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that event data will be timely, complete, or error-free, or that the Service will always function with TradingView.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any trading losses, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. You may request deletion of your account data as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply. Purchases are additionally subject to the terms of Paddle as merchant of record.
