Red News – Economic Calendar for TradingView ("the extension") displays economic-calendar news from Forex Factory on TradingView charts. It offers a free tier that works without an account, and an optional Premium tier that requires signing in. This policy explains what data the extension processes.

Data we collect

Free tier (no account): the extension does not collect names, credentials, browsing history, or advertising identifiers. It requests economic-calendar data through our own backend (see "Our backend" below); as with any network request, our backend receives your IP address in the normal course of delivering the response. We do not use this for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell your data.

Premium tier (with account): if you choose to sign in, we collect and store:

• your email address, name, and Google account identifier, obtained through Google sign-in, to create and identify your account and to show your name in the extension;
• your subscription / entitlement status (free, trial, or premium);
• a random per-installation identifier used to associate your installation with your account and to apply reasonable device limits.

We collect this only after you actively sign in, and only to provide the account and Premium functionality. You can stop this at any time by signing out.

Our backend

Economic-calendar data and subscription checks are served by our backend hosted on Supabase (authentication, database, and server functions). The extension communicates only with our backend and with TradingView; it does not contact Forex Factory directly. Our backend fetches the public Forex Factory calendar on the server side and returns it to the extension.

What the extension accesses

• TradingView chart pages (*.tradingview.com/chart/*): the extension reads the current chart symbol, timeframe, and timezone in order to draw the economic-news lines, labels, and tooltips on the chart. No other part of the site is accessed.
• Our backend (hsoaqylcrmspyckkndab.supabase.co): the extension requests economic-calendar data and, if you are signed in, verifies your subscription status.

Local storage

The extension uses your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to save your settings (filters, labels, alerts, timezone, language, theme), a short-lived cache of the fetched calendar data, and, if you sign in, your session tokens and account/subscription status. Signing out or uninstalling removes this local data.

Payments

If you purchase Premium, payment is processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Your card and billing details are entered on Paddle's secure checkout and are never received or stored by us. We only receive your resulting subscription status.

Notifications

With your permission, the extension shows an operating-system notification a chosen number of minutes before high-impact economic releases. Notifications are generated locally from calendar event times and are not used for messaging or marketing.

Telegram alerts (optional, Premium)

Premium users can connect a Telegram account to receive news alerts on their phone, including while their computer is off. This is entirely optional and off until you connect it. When you connect, we store on our backend your Telegram chat ID and username (supplied by Telegram when you start our bot), together with your alert preferences: impact levels, currencies, how many minutes ahead to warn you, your time zone, and any quiet hours. We use them for one purpose — deciding which alerts to send you and when — and messages are delivered through Telegram's own servers, so Telegram's privacy policy applies to their delivery. We keep a short record of which events were already sent to you so the same alert is not repeated; those records are deleted after about two days. You can disconnect at any time by blocking the bot in Telegram, and we delete the stored Telegram data when you delete your account.

Feedback

If you send feedback through the extension ("Report a problem, idea, or partnership"), the message you type, an optional email address, and basic non-personal context (the extension version, your browser, and your interface language) are sent through Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service, which forwards them to the developer by email. This happens only when you press Send.

Third-party services

• Supabase hosts our backend (authentication, database, server functions) that serves calendar data and stores your account/subscription status.
• Google provides the sign-in through which we obtain your name, email, and account identifier.
• Paddle processes Premium payments as merchant of record; card data never reaches us.
• Forex Factory is the source of the public economic-calendar data, fetched by our backend.
• Web3Forms delivers feedback you choose to send.
• Telegram delivers the optional Premium alerts to users who connect our bot.

Each third party processes data subject to its own privacy policy.

Your choices and rights

The free tier works without an account. If you have signed in, you can sign out at any time, and you may request deletion of your account data by contacting us (see "Contact"). Deleting your account removes your stored email, name, account identifier, and subscription record.

Changes

Any change that affects what data is collected or how it is processed will be reflected in an updated Privacy Policy before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date above will be revised.
